R. Bruce Owens

Bruce Owens has specialized in handling personal injury, wrongful death and medical malpractice matters since he began his practice in 1973.

He has handled hundreds of personal injury cases and has had trials to verdict in many of these cases.  Mr. Owens was recently co-lead counsel in a medical malpractice case in Eastern Idaho that resulted in a $7.5 million verdict – one of the largest medical malpractice verdicts in the State of Idaho.  He has had trials to verdict and settled numerous personal injury and medical malpractice cases in the hundreds of thousands to several million dollar range.

Bruce and his wife, Judi, have raised and educated six children in the Coeur d’Alene area.  Several of these children, now adults, have made their home in the Spokane-Coeur d’Alene vicinity.  Bruce and Judi have been activity in their community, serving on the Board of Directors of Head Start, Boy Scouts of America, and the United Crusade.  They have been active in school sports activities and their church as their children were growing up, including serving in various capacities in the Boy Scouts of America and as coaches in basketball and soccer.

All six of their children graduated from Coeur d’Alene High School.  Judi was a librarian for many years in a local elementary school and worked with local youth both in and out of her church.  She is a native Idahoan.
